Unknown kitten found with front leg severed Karrinyp, Australia December 31, 2008

A cat found with its front leg severed has prompted an RSPCA investigation, to determine if the animal was tortured.

Fortunately, the kitten is expected to survive the ordeal.

"We have no idea if the injuries are linked to the earlier kitten found in a bag in Perth,'' RSPCA spokesman Richard Barry told News Limited.

"But it is extremely unusual to have two kittens in one day with such similar injuries."
