Photo courtesy of CTV News Two ducklings were killed when a man attacked a family of ducks as they met in a parking lot at 236 Victoria St. N., in Kitchener, police say.
“People saw an agitated man attacking a mother duck and her ducklings. They told the man to leave the area. When Waterloo Regional Police arrived, they described the suspect as being very intoxicated and officers arrested the 37-year-old Kitchene man nearby at Victoria Street and Lancaster Street, police spokesperson Olaf Heinzel stated. By the time police arrived, two of the ducklings were dead.

The unidentified man faces 3 charges of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal, as well as 1 count each of breaching of probation and urinating in public.
