Frank Picklesimer racked up a list of charges including animal cruelty when he crossed paths with the law on July 16th. LaFollette Police Officer Tony Rucker observed Picklesimer, 35, of 103 Claiborne Road, Apartment 3, walking along Depot Street carrying a small puppy when he stopped Picklesimer.
According to Officer Rucker’s report, when Picklesimer was asked if he was carrying anything illegal he threw the dog onto the street and fled. Following a lengthy foot pursuit, Picklesimer was apprehended near the LaFollette Recreation Center. At that time the defendant allegedly refused to put his hands behind his back. Once handcuffed, officers located a pair of wire cutters on Picklesimer’s person.
Picklesimer was arrested and charged with evading arrest, resisting arrest, possession of burglary tools, cruelty to animals and public intoxication. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 24.
